I was born and raised in Oswego, New York: a town known more for its record snowfalls than anything else. I was happy to be a part of the Oswego public school system for all of my young life, and now look forward being on the other side of the desk here at Canisteo-Greenwood. This 2009-2010 academic year will be my first full-time teaching position, but I know that I am more than up to the task.

Despite what some students might think, we teachers don't (usually) live in our classrooms. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, kayaking/canoeing, writing (and screenwriting), and yes, the occasional video game. History is always a personal passion, particularly classical (Greece and especially Rome) and military history. Talk to me for more than a few minutes, and you probably already know this! In the past, I've also been involved with local drama, filmmaking, and voice acting, though a recent busy schedule hasn't allowed me to do as much of this as I'd like. Back home in Oswego, I love to be swimming, jet-skiing, or tubing on Lake Ontario.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you may have. I look forward to exploring the world of Social Studies with the students of C-G!
