Welcome to Ms. Smith's Science Page.  Let me tell you a little about myself.  I am a graduate of Whitesville Central School.  I earned an AAS in Accounting at Corning Community College and a BSE from Mansfield University in Earth & Space Science and General Science.  In 2005, I earned my Masters' Degree from Mississippi State University where I majored in GeoScience.  I am also a certified phlebotomist.  In January of 2017, I was selected to the New York State Master Teacher Program.  In July of 2017,  I was one of 32 teachers from around the United States to attended Texas A & M's Geology Camp (G-Camp).  I have been a teacher at the Canisteo-Greenwood High School since September of 2001.  When I'm not at school I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to music and spur of the moment road trips to random locations around the US.  My goal is to visit all 50 states. The image above is from my trip to Alaska this summer and is of Margerie Glacier in Glacier Bay, Alaska. 43 states down, 7 to go!  This school year  I will be teaching Regents Earth Science and Forensics.
