The Canisteo-Greenwood Central School District believes the primary purpose of an effective school is teaching for learning.  We believe that all students can learn and can achieve at optimum levels of academic performance, regardless of their previous academic performance, family background, socio-economic status, race or gender. The District will foster positive growth in social/emotional behavior and attitudes.

2-4th from Main Front Entrance

5-7th from Side Gymnasium Door

Canisteo-Greenwood School is now offering season athletic passes good for admission to all regular home sporting events. Passes are $20 for a family or $10 for individuals. Please complete the application below and bring it to an athlete event.  Checks may be made payable to Canisteo- Greenwood Central School.

  • 2016-17 School Calendar Updated

    The 2016-17 School Calendar has been updated. Please note January 27th will be an early dismissal day for students. All students will be dismissed at 11:30am.

  • Now accepting nominations

    The purpose of this award is to recognize an individual who has in some way significantly impacted the educational experiences of students in the Canisteo, Greenwood or Canisteo-Greenwood School Districts in years past. If you are aware of an individual that you strongly feel merits this distinguished recognition, please fill out the application and provide the committee with a snapshot of the individual’s influence. In addition, feel free to include any additional documentation and references that will further assist the committee in understanding the scope of the individual’s accomplishments. Nominations need to be returned to the Canisteo-Greenwood District Clerk by January 31.

  • PARENT PORTAL

    Parents can now view their High School and Middle School child's grades, assignments and discipline through the parent portal for school tools. Click here to sign up for this option.

  • 10th Annual College Fair

    March 13th 5-6:30pm in the High School Gym. All Juniors from Canisteo-Greenwood and neighboring schools are invited to meet with the representatives from different colleges. They will also be a eligible for one of two $250 scholarships given to students durng this event.

  • BMI Opt Out Letter

    Canisteo-Greenwood School was selected to submit Body Mass Index percentages and weight status group information from your student’s health appraisal to New York State Department of Health for their survey. Only summary information is sent. No names and no information about individuals are sent. If you choose to have your student’s information excluded from this survey report please fill out this form and return it to your student’s nurse’s office before January 3, 2017 or call the nurse’s office to have a form sent home with your student. Thank you.
