Welcome to the Special Education Department

reading

Special education means specially designed educational services or programs to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities determined by the Committee on Special Education (CSE).  The Canisteo-Greenwood Central School District is dedicated to providing appropriate educational opportunities for all students. Interventions, such as Academic Intervention Services (AIS) and/or Response to Intervention (RtI) is strongly encouraged as these services may help struggling students before a referral to special education is made.  If you have any questions, please contact our office and we will be glad to assist you.
