Coming to you live from CG elementary, where the Turkey Trot race is has officially come to an end. Grand Champion of the 1st annual Turkey Trot goes to… 3rd grade with over 425 items collected for local families in need! Way to go!
Pre-K /TK came in 2nd with over 280 items, 1st grade came in a close 3rd with over 265 items donated. 4th grade receives an honorable mention with just over 260 items collected! In total CG elementary collected over 1700 items! The items will be delivered to local food pantries in Canisteo and Greenwood. Special thanks to the Community Tours genius hour students who helped collect and count items daily, to the Service Learning action team for planning and coordinating, the PTO for helping with the special surprise for the winning grade level and Ms. Brott’s class for helping sort and check expiration dates on donations.
